This happened a few weeks ago, I got time to fix it today... or to try. It has not gone well.
I have replaced the gear in this unit before. Last time I did, muj otec decided to superglue the motor back together after swapping the gear. That was a rather permanent decision. I bought a new unit and swapped it in (a pain to do) and flipped the headlights off, this was the result:
When one goes up, the other goes down. I took it back apart, traded the motor unit for another, reassembled it, and... same result.
I’m done screwing with it for the night.

Literally the worst thing that can happen to someone with pop-ups. Well, besides the ‘up’ part not happening.

Haha! I changed the gears in my drivers side a couple years back. I should probably order me a set for the other side just in case.
The actuator arm is probably rotating in the wrong direction. Watch the good one operate and try match the other one.

Did they stop putting the manual backups in the updated body? My 95 has knobs I can turn to manually put them where they need to be.

Arms and everything else is identical. I seems to have reversed the current to the motor.

I can move it up and down with an allen wrench, but the motor spins the wrong way no matter where the headlight is.

Hope you’re not buying the stock plastic gears...
